VESPER is an independent concept study for a fictional perfume house. The website tells the story of a fragrance between day and night: a cinematic bottle opening, a journey through three notes and a fine perfume mist on its own stage. There is no real product and nothing for sale.
01 · A fragrance told in three moments
As visitors scroll, L’Heure Bleue unfolds from bergamot through iris to cedarwood. Imagery, light and copy follow the three moments, while visitors control the pace.
Quiet typography and a violet-and-gold visual world give the fictional house its own character. Visitors can switch between German and English directly on the site.
02 · Cinematic movement inside the image
Short Higgsfield film sequences animate the ingredient still life and the bottle with its atomizer. Bergamot peel moves within the original composition; a fine mist emerges from the golden nozzle.
Videos play only while their scenes are visible. Visitors can pause motion, while reduced-motion settings and loading failures retain photographic stills.
03 · Implementation
The site is built from lightweight HTML, CSS and JavaScript. A WebGL effect refracts light over the bottle photograph; film complements the imagery without obstructing navigation.
The public demo is hosted directly on codemantix.com. The original Sites preview remains a private working version.
[ outcome ]
A published bilingual perfume-house demo with three fragrance chapters, cinematic ingredient and spray footage, a motion toggle and photographic fallbacks.
