Reality Breaker is an independent web experiment. Instead of a conventional business site, a camera journey takes visitors through four states as they scroll: a breaking surface, the light engine, a stream of fragments and a new sculpture. It explores what visual storytelling can do in the browser.
01 · One continuous camera journey
Scroll position controls the camera, lights, fragments and the assembly of the final form. Scrolling forwards or backwards follows the same spatial journey. An automatic play mode is available too.
The light engine opens into a passage, which leads into the fragment stream. Those same fragments come together as a sculpture at the end.
02 · Real images inside a digital world
Four real photographs appear one after another in translucent glass cards: architecture and water around the light engine, then ice and basalt in the fragment stream. Short texts connect them to light, fracture and structure.
The photos are served locally with source credits. The spatial scene and lighting effects are generated in the browser.
03 · Interaction and implementation
Three.js renders the continuous 3D space with reflections, bloom and a camera path. A custom WebGL shader powers the opening and provides a simplified view if the 3D scene is unavailable.
The layout adapts to narrow screens, and a reduced-motion option offers calmer chapter views. The entire public experience is in English.
